A shipment's density is an important component of the freight rate. The density, simply put, is the amount of weight per unit of volume. So, for example, a pallet of lead bricks has a much higher density than a pallet of pillows. To calculate your shipment's density, enter the length, width, height and weight below and click the Calculate button. When determining the dimensions of your shipment, be sure to measure the longest sides including any packaging, overhangs or protrusions.
